Individual Counselling
You are not alone.
When we feel distressing emotions, we worry that something is wrong with us. The truth is that it’s normal to have unpleasant feelings and more common than you would imagine. We need to normalize the full spectrum of human emotion and learn how to care for ourselves in turbulent times.
Common issues that bring clients to therapy include anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress, and relationship struggles, amongst others.
If you are feeling pain, uncertainty or alone in your struggles, individual therapy can help.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) Therapy
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy designed to help people heal from the emotional distress caused by traumatic or overwhelming life experiences. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR works by helping the brain reprocess stuck memories so they can be stored in a more adaptive, less distressing way.
During an EMDR session, you'll be guided to briefly focus on a difficult memory while engaging in bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements, tapping, or auditory tones—which supports the brain’s natural healing process. This helps reduce the emotional charge of past events and allows new, more empowering beliefs to emerge.
EMDR is widely used to treat PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other trauma-related symptoms. It’s a structured, eight-phase approach that moves at your pace, with a strong emphasis on safety, stabilization, and resourcing before processing begins.
You don’t need to talk in detail about your trauma for EMDR to be effective. The process is collaborative and grounded in your comfort level every step of the way.

Giving everyone in the family a safe space to be heard and understood. Family therapy can be useful to mediate challenges that a family is struggling with as well as to give relationship tools to help you relate and communicate with each other in healthy ways.
Somatic Therapy
A body-centred approach to healing that incorporates some or all of the following modalities: breath work, movement, mindfulness, meditation, visualization and sensation awareness.
An integrative, body-oriented approach to emotional and psychological health.
These sessions utilize somatic therapy techniques to support the regulation of the nervous system and the resolution of trauma-related symptoms. Grounded in neuroscience and informed by modalities such as Somatic Experiencing, sensorimotor psychotherapy, and polyvagal theory, this approach recognizes the body as a central component in processing and integrating emotional experiences.
Clients are guided through a structured process of body awareness, interoception (internal sensing), and mindful tracking of physical sensations associated with stress or trauma. The aim is to facilitate physiological self-regulation, increase resilience, and enhance overall emotional functioning.
This therapy may be appropriate for individuals experiencing symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic stress, chronic pain or illness, or dissociation. Sessions are collaborative and paced according to the client’s capacity, ensuring a safe and contained therapeutic environment.
No prior experience with somatic modalities is required. Intake and treatment planning are conducted to tailor interventions to individual clinical goals.
Intensive Therapy Sessions
Our intensive therapy sessions offer a deeper, more immersive experience for individuals, couples, or families seeking focused support beyond the standard 50- or 80-minute appointment length. These extended sessions, ranging from 2 hours to full-day formats, provide the time and space needed to explore complex issues, break through persistent patterns, and make meaningful progress in a condensed timeframe. Ideal for clients facing significant transitions, relational crises, or those looking to accelerate their healing journey, our intensives are thoughtfully structured to deliver impactful, personalized care in a supportive and confidential environment.
PAR (Partner Assault Response) Program (Court Mandated)
We work privately with clients to offer a PAR (Partner Assault Response) program meeting the requirements of the Ontario Legal System (Courts), and subject to the approval of the relevant legal authorities (the Crown Attorney, probation officer, and/or police officer). This program consists of six (6) 1-hour individual psychoeducational and counselling sessions to complete the syllabus for the PAR-like program based mainly on the Duluth Model of Treatment. A report of completion will then be issued.
Men's Therapy Group
This program is intended for men who are experiencing difficulties in their lives or relationships due to their angry, controlling, withholding, and/or abusive behaviours.
Weekly meetings are online.
Members of the group commit to confidentiality agreements and respectful, supportive, nonjudgemental and appropriate behaviour towards self, facilitators, and other group members in the program.
This is intended to be a safe space to grow and learn together. The intention of this program is to provide tools, skills, and resources to support men in choosing healthy relationships, behaviours, and coping skills when faced with challenges in their interpersonal relationships.
